FREE SUMMER 2009 SPORTS COACHING AND PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT COURSE
Leyton Orient Community Sports Programme start new project for 16-25 year olds
Are you a 16-25 year old male or female? Are you interested in community sports coaching? Do you want to gain Key Skills in IT? Do you have an interest in the media world? THEN OLYMPIC OPPORTUNITIES IS FOR YOU!
Olympic Opportunities is a new summer sports, IT and media based project that combines workshop sessions with practical sports coaching. Aimed at young people who have an interest in working in the sports and leisure industry and run by the award-winning Leyton Orient Community Sports Programme (LOCSP), the course will be delivered by LOCSP staff within Leyton Orient’s stadium and the adjacent SCORE
Olympic Opportunities is open to Waltham Forest residents, aged 16-25 years old* (*certain criteria applies) who have an interest in sport/media, are available for the summer period and are motivated to participate!
Running on MONDAYS & WEDNESDAYS from 11AM – 4PM with an Open Day / Interview on Monday 29th June at SCORE, this is your chance to improve basic IT skills in a non-formal professional sports environment and to gain practical based sports qualifications ready for a move into training, employment or education.
Everyone on the course will gain coaching skills in a number of Olympic sports including football, handball, volleyball, athletics and a whole lot more.
All successful candidates completing the course will be signed up, free of charge, for the Football Association (FA) Level Coaching Certificate in Football!
