FREE LEADERS COURSE FOR YOUNGSTERS NEXT WEEK

Leyton, London – Leyton Orient Community Sports Programme (LOCSP), supported by CLM, will be running a FREE ‘Sports Leaders UK Level 1 Award in Sports Leadership’ next week at Score, Leyton during the May half-term school holidays.

Open to any boys or girls aged 14-16 from Newham, Waltham Forest, Hackney and Tower Hamlets, the course enables youngsters to learn the key skills on the road to becoming a sports coach and gain a nationally recognised qualification.

The course runs from 10am – 4pm on Tuesday 26th May, Wednesday 27th May, Thursday 28th May and Friday 29th May.

Course Leader and LOCSP Education Officer Tony Murphy said:

“For anyone reading this that wants to get into coaching and has some spare time during half-term next week this course is an excellent opportunity to get on the first rung of the ladder and to see what the job entails.

“Everyone that has completed and passed the course says to me how beneficial it was to them – in fact we now have staff working here who completed the course as their first sports-related qualification.”
